Poker

Filed under: hobby — admin @ 4:23 pm

I have a lot of free time and I am looking for a new hobby. I was thinking to learn how to play poker. It seems a very intensive game that requires smart thinking and a lot of tactics.

I was watching some tournaments on TV and it doesn’t look that hard. I prefer Texas Holdem, it’s much more intense than normal poker. Some people are making big money on it. But I guess you need to be really good to go to some of that tournaments.

I am doing some research online and I am looking for best poker bonuses. I prefer no deposit poker bonuses since I can play with real money without actually paying anything. I will keep you updated on my poker life :)

Retirement communities

Filed under: Community, Ecology, hobby — admin @ 5:56 am

I am actually looking forward to my retirement. Why? Because I have some savings, I will sell my house and move in Virginia retirement community

You might ask: WHY? again. It’s simple. I love it there and I love the idea of being close to nature and to ocean. I also like the fact that it is safe and clean environment to live in. It’s much better than living in big city where I live now. I can’t imagine spending my retirement days in big city full of smog. It’s OK to live in the city while your still work and have an active life. But that’s not my plan for retirement. So I am checking out Virginia retirement communities. I will make sure I check out the right one and I will go there for a week or so before I make my actual decision.

My interests

Filed under: hobby — admin @ 4:04 pm

My tryst with science started in my early childhood. Radio controlled toy cars, remote controls, door bells and such gadgets around me evoked a strong urge to learn their mechanism of work. My parents are very closely related to the sciences, and they encouraged my scientific curiosities. Hours of toil, patience and endless questions, all fuelled by my desire to learn, were my first steps in the direction that I was about to take in my life. These were the things that initiated me into the world of physics.

It was entirely natural, that my field of study in high school would centre on this fascinating aspect of human advancement. Voltages and currents became objects of attraction. Legendary books such as “Fundamentals of Physics” authored by Halliday, Resnick, and Walker, became the Bibles, to which I swore my allegiance.

When it was time for me to choose my undergraduate program, it was an obvious choice that I opted for majoring in Electronics and Telecommunication. The first two years of my undergraduate program, covered all the basic foundations, and I developed a liking for the subject. I always tried to use these basics to understand existing technologies. Basic electronics, microprocessors, and especially signals were subjected to extensive study and thought. Not only was the mastery of theoretical aspects of the subject important from my perspective, but their application in the practical world was paramount. Simple circuits like optical comparators and digital locks were constructed as an extension to this passion of mine.
