There will be billions of people watching this football world cup all over the world. Don’t forget, football is the post popular sport in the world. There are 32 teams playing and fans in each of those countries will watch it with a special enthusiasm. I found a website, that promises it will keep us up to date on how to watch world cup online. I’ll keep my eyes on that as the date of start of this tournament gets closer.
CNN is the most popular US and world news network. They cover all the main events in the world in real time and have billions of viewers all around the world. They are know for fast and accurate transmission of information and news.
You can now watch CNN online. They transmit their TV signal live over the Internet and in real time. This means you can watch them anytime on your laptop, desktop or flash enabled mobile phone.
Internet traffic, or bandwidth is getting cheaper every year. Since the launch of YouTube, there have been thousands of videos published daily on the internet. We call such videos “on demand”, since you choose when to start the video, pause it and watch in again. This is the most flexible way of watching video online. It’s like watching it at your home on a DVD or similar player.
There is another way of watching video over the internet. It’s called linear or classic TV. It’s like TV that you are used to (cable), only streamed over the internet. Cheaper bandwidth allowed for more people to have faster connections at home, which means that you can watch TV online in real time, without constant buffering problems (this kind of problems are not common with on demand video, since you can pre-load it).
There are new online TV stations launching almost daily and that shows, that original TV is not dead yet, just reborn online.
